Save Money with VoIP
There are many value added services offered by the various VOIP service providers. For example, there is voice mail facility, 3-way conference, speed dialing, call forwarding, simultaneous ring, call waiting, caller ID, call return, caller ID block, anonymous call rejection, an interesting feature of do not disturb, and last number dial. All these services are mostly free of cost in their basic service plan.
Almost all of the VoIP providers provide Voicemail with the standard VoIP calling plan. The special feature of the VoIP voicemail plan is in how the consumer can access his/her VoIP voicemail message.
In general, there are 4 ways in which a VoIP consumer can access their voicemail. When you add the three ways up, you will be able to access your voicemail from anywhere. You can go to your Provider’s VoIP homepage and access the “Customer Login” portal by typing in your username and password. Once into the portal, click on the Voicemail tab and you can listen to your new voicemails over Internet connection. VoIP voicemail service is only one of the things to consider before choosing a VoIP solution.
It is also very easy to make calls without possessing VOIP service by using an adaptor. This adaptor will be hooked up to a regular phone and to your VOIP in order to utilize the residential VOIP phone which can be a VOIP phone, landline, or cell phone. This adapter has proved to be very much useful for those who do not want to make investment in VOIP service. Call your service provider to ask about adding extra services. Add a toll-free number to your line to allow your business clients or family members to call you for free from anywhere in the country.
With Internet phone, you get the same features as you would with a standard phone line, such as call waiting, caller ID, voice mail and long distance, and you can keep your phone number and phone equipment. You can also add extra features to VoIP services to enhance phone service at home or work.
VoIP security has been easily overshadowed by the attractiveness of this new technology and the extensive features it promises to provide. Security hasn’t been a particularly critical subject since in the past, most IP voice traffic remained on local and wide area enterprise networks, which were more or less secure and protected from the public Internet. VoIP traffic over the Internet is unencrypted, anyone with network access can listen in on conversations.
